The hotly-tipped Jimmy McGhie saw his star rise particularly quickly when after only 10 gigs he reached the final of the prestigious So You Think You're Funny Final at the Edinburgh Festival. He has also reached the semi finals of the BBC New Talent competition and the final of the Amused Moose Star Search 2005.
Jimmy studied Drama at Kent University and his meteoric rise in the world of stand up appears set to be matched by his progress in the world of acting, with exciting TV roles in the pipeline.
His split-bill shows with Stuart Goldsmith and Damion Larkin at the Edinburgh Festival in 2007 and 2008 respectively, received rave reviews.
