Comedy at Glee Cardiff - catch TV’s award-winning Andi Osho live. Sun 20 Mar.
You’ve no doubt seen Andi Osho on the telly but now’s your chance to find out why she’s such a highly-rate live performer who’s made a huge splash on the comedy scene in such a short time.
Andi’s critically-acclaimed debut solo show ‘Afroblighty’ is a touching and hilarious story of her identity crisis in the cultural crossfire of modern Britain.
She plots her complicated relationship with race - from her childhood in an East End tower block to the present day - encountering minstrel shows, Lenny Henry, the BNP, political correctness and America's first black President along the way.
Andi put in star turns on Mock the Week (BBC1), C4’s Tonightly (co-host alongside Jason Manford), Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow (BBC1), Stand Up For The Week (C4) and most recently Let's Dance For Comic Relief (BBC1).
Numerous acting credits including Eastenders (BBC1), Footballers’ Wives (ITV) and Psychoville: Hallowe’en Special (BBC1), plus she’s written and performed on The Now Show (BBC Radio 4), Newsjack (BBC Radio 7) and Hot Gossip (BBC Radio 2).
A previous winner of the Nivea Funny Women Award, Andi has also been a runner-up in the Hackney Empire New Act of the Year and Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year competitions.
