Sarah and Richard of Paper Aeroplanes grew up 30 miles from each other along the coast of West Wales, in houses you could see the sea from.

After a substantial sync on BBC drama Lip Service and recent radio support from 6music's Lauren Laverne, Nemone & Cerys Matthews and Steve Lamacq & Bob Harris on Radio 2, Paper Aeroplanes have been very busy.



In 2009 they released their debut album The Day We Ran Into The Sea. The album, with its distinctive sound under Sarah's breathtaking vocals, was described by the BBC's Adam Walton as "brilliantly crafted and stoked from a bruised heart’s embers", and "the finest radio album to come out of Wales since Rockferry."

The 2011 mini-album We are Ghosts was picked for The Guardian's F&M playlist.
