Ian Coppinger

Co-writer and star of RTE’s comedy series Couched, Ian is one of Ireland's leading performers.

A regular on the Irish comedy circuit, Ian has toured extensively throughout the country and recently debuted in Scotland making up one third of the sell-out show at the Edinburgh Festival 'Young, Gifted and Green'.

Well known for his improvisational skills, Ian has lead Dublin’s Comedy Improv team for over seven years performing weekly in Ireland's oldest comedy venue at the International Bar. This led to an invitation to perform in Canada with the infamous 'Second City', and he has since shared the stage with many of America’s top improvisers at the annual Kilkenny Comedy Festival.

Film work includes Separation Anxiety and The End. His television credits include regular sketches on RTE’s The Late Late Show, and more recently on BBC 1’s Stand Up Show, both as a performer with and writer for Ardal O’Hanlon.

With his brilliant one-liners, hilarious stories, and unique delivery, Ian has become... 'one to watch (The Times) and 'Dublin’s finest' (Hot Press).
