Stuart Mitchell

Early in 2009 Stuart Mitchell was tipped to have a promising future after his first ever gig when the judging panel of the UK's biggest comedy competition gave him a special mention for an "amazing performance" - opening with a line acknowledged by one of the judges to be "possibly the best first line of a first gig ever."

In 2010 Stuart won The Leicester Comedy Festival New Act of The Year Competition (Funhouse) and in May 2010 became an "internet sensation" (Daily Record) after he appeared on Frank Skinner's Opinionated TV show receiving a standing ovation by panel members Patrick Kielty, Sarah Millican and Skinner, with the BBC using it as one of their highlight videos on YouTube.

Since then Stuart has gone on to become one of the most exciting new comedians around, regularly performing all over the UK. Now based in London he has performed alongside some of comedy's biggest stars at The Comedy Store, The Glee Club, The Stand and other major comedy clubs. He was also a finalist in the 2012 'Hackney Empire New Act of the Year'.

As well as comedy clubs he has performed at festivals including Rockness and Kendal Calling. In March 2012 he opened for Stewart Francis as part of his nationwide tour in front of over 1600 people at the legendary Kings Theatre in Glasgow.
