Joe Charman ‘The Skills Guy’

Joe Charman is a former stand-up comedian turned social media entertainer, now known as ‘The Skills Guy’. Starting his comedy career in early 2011, Joe soon found a new comedy niche in freestyled comedy music, featuring beatboxing and loop pedals. During his 4 years of stand up Joe performed at 4 Edinburgh Fringe festivals with his show ‘Who is Mr Kirby?’ amassed  over 500 nationwide shows on the British comedy circuit, Landed a TV spot on Jongleurs Live (Loaded TV), Reached the final of the ‘New Comedian of the Year’ competition (2013) and became a supporting act to Romesh Ranganathan, Katherine Ryan, Seann Walsh, Shappi Khorsandi and Rob Beckett.

After becoming the opening act for the (sold out) Dapper Laughs ‘Proper Moist Tour’ in 2014 Joe decided to change direction and focus on his growing social media presence and soon became known all over the world as ‘The Skills Guy’ after a number of viral hits amounting in half a billion views and 2 million followers online.

Eager to turn his social media presence into a sustainable business Joe set up his own production company in 2015 and has worked with brands such as Peugeot, Dominos, SKY, McDonalds, Walkers, PayPal, The NFL and HBO as an online ambassador for Game Of Thrones.

Joe will be providing support to Arron Crascall on his tour coming to The Glee Club in July.
