Please read our terms and conditions of booking at The Glee Clubs. These terms and conditions apply to all venues: Birmingham; Cardiff; Nottingham; Glasgow and Oxford.
1 : BOOKING & TICKETS
We highly recommend booking in advance for all shows to avoid disappointment. Advance bookings must be paid in full at the time of booking. Cheque bookings may be made only by prior arrangement with the box office. All bookings are non refundable once made. However bookings for all of our Friday Night Comedy, Saturday Night Comedy and Comedy Carousel shows are transferrable, using MYGLEE. Transfers are subject to a £2 per ticket fee and are transferrable up to 1pm on the day of the show. The shows you can transfer your tickets into comprise the equivalent Friday Night Comedy, Saturday Night Comedy or Comedy Carousel shows, or a cheaper night (eg Saturday transferred to Friday, or Friday to Thursday). Please note that bookings to comedy, music, cabaret, burlesque, spoken word or talks tour shows are not transferrable or refundable once made.
If an event is cancelled or rescheduled, you will receive an email with details of how to obtain a refund if you cannot make the rescheduled date. For rescheduled events, your email will state a deadline before which refund requests must be received.
2 : ARRIVING FOR SHOWS
Our venues do not use tickets – please arrive with your whole party and quote your booking name on the door to gain entry. Times of arrival are given at the time of booking, whether via the box office or online at www.glee.co.uk. Any customers arriving after the last time of arrival may be admitted at the duty manager’s discretion and this may be at an appropriate time so as not to disturb any other customer’s enjoyment of the show. We reserve the right to refuse admission to latecomers and to resell any unused tickets. If you arrive late for a seated show you may be offered any remaining space and this may be standing room. If you arrive with less people than originally booked we reserve the right to reassign any unused spaces.
3 : ADDING TO A BOOKING
To make an addition to an existing booking for a show with allocated seating you must inform The Box Office by telephone as soon as possible and absolutely no later than 5pm on the day of the show, except Sunday shows – please inform The Box Office by no later than 5pm on the Saturday prior. Such additions are subject to availability. Our seating plan is tailored to the needs of the acts and audience for each show, therefore additions/groupings must be made in advance and cannot be accommodated on the night.
4 : WE ARE NON-SMOKING VENUES
By law the Glee Club is an entirely no smoking venue across all areas. Anyone who smokes in any part of the club will be ejected without refund. Smoking passes may be provided for certain shows with time restrictions for re-entry, any customers returning after this point may not be admitted.
5 : BEHAVIOUR IN THE GLEE CLUBS
All customers regardless of age, gender or perceived status are expected to treat the venue, staff, acts and fellow customers with due respect and good manners. THIS EXTENDS TO TALKING DURING THE SHOW, WHICH WE CONSIDER TO BE RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL TO NEARBY CUSTOMERS AS WELL AS THE ACTS PERFORMING. Any customers demonstrating aggressive or intimidating behaviour will be ejected without refund. Recording or photographing the comics or artists is not permitted and may result in the confiscation of the recording device and deletion of material/images.
6: SAFETY & SECURITY
We reserve the right to search bags on entry and may do so at times of heightened security.
All of our venues have CCTV.
Please do not arrive with large holdalls, rucksacks, suitcases or oversize bags, these will not be allowed into the auditoriums, which are like theatres. Auditoriums can be crowded, and any object obstructing the walkways is a trip hazard and against fire-safety rules.
Speak to us
If at any time you see or hear anything untoward, please speak to a member of our team – we’re here to help.
7 : FANCY DRESS – COMEDY SHOWS
Fancy dress is permitted. However, large or elaborate headgear, balloons, inflatables and flashing lights may obscure views and be annoying or distracting to other audience members so we respectfully draw the line at these and ask you to do so too. Have a nice time but please remember your fun should not be at others expense.
8 : INTOXICATION & DRUG POLICY
We reserve the right to refuse admission. Customers who arrive already intoxicated will not be permitted entry and no refund offered. Any member of your party found in possession of or found using any prohibited drugs will be asked to leave. We reserve the right to conduct bag and body searches and also to pass any relevant information to police.
9 : THU – FRI – SAT COMEDY SHOW LINE-UPS
Whilst we make every effort to keep line-ups as listed, line-ups may be subject to change. We will always replace any acts who for reasons outside of our control cannot play the venue. If you are planning to see one specific act in a mixed bill show please call the venue before booking and travelling to confirm the act is due to appear.
10 : STUDENT ID
Any customers entering on student admission (full time only) must be able to produce a student photo ID card that clearly shows valid expiry dates and that they are in full time education, or validated UNIDAYS app. Otherwise full payment will be charged.
11 : DOOR SALES
On most comedy nights a limited amount of space is for sale on the door once all pre-booked customers are checked in. This is not recommended for parties larger than 6 people. Priority queuing tickets for door sales are available from The Glee Bar in Birmingham and The Glee Bar in Nottingham – allowing you to wait with a drink in comfort. In Cardiff please go to the window to the right of the club entrance for any door sales. In Glasgow please enquire with the staff on the door. There is no guarantee of entrance on the door. Once Christmas comedy shows are sold out no door sales will be available.
12 : AGE & ENTRY POLICY
Unless specified otherwise all customers must be aged 18 years or over. We wish to cause no offence but in line with local policing requirements any customers appearing to be under 25 may be asked to provide government issued ID proving they are 18 or over (or over the minimum age specified if lower than 18).
Only a valid passport, valid UK driving license photocard or authorised Prove It card may be used as ID (we will not accept birth certificates as ID). Any customers who can not provide government issued ID to prove they are 18 or over (or over the minimum age specified if lower than 18) when requested to do so will not be permitted entry to the venue.
For shows where the minimum entry age is lower than 18 we will list specific information on the show listings page. Under 16s must carry photo ID and be accompanied by an adult with a ticket to the show at all times.
13: COVID-19 GUIDELINES
By purchasing a ticket or attending an event during the COVID-19 pandemic, you consent to have your contact details shared with NHS Test & Trace in the event of an outbreak at the venue. You also agree to follow the venue's COVID guidelines, as laid out here.
Please call the box office on 0871 472 0400 or email firstname.lastname@example.org if you are uncertain of our policy. Refunds will not be issued for incorrectly booked tickets.
