Mat Ricardo, the Gentleman Juggler, is one of the most unique, critically-acclaimed, and reliably entertaining variety performers in the world. The first man in history to learn to put the tablecloth back on the table… but that’s just one of his incredible feats.

He is a TedX Speaker, Magic Circle doyen, Royal Command Performer,Comedian, and the winner of the Herald Angel Award for theatre excellence, the British Cabaret Award for Best Speciality Act, the Kleinkunst Cabaret Prize, Stagetalk Magazine’s Show of the Year, and the Arts Award Pick of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

Mat Ricardo on stage is an opportunity to see genuine danger, dexterous elegance and thrills, performed by a natural comedian at the top of his game. He beguiles his audience with both old favourites and signature routines, including some tricks that haven’t been performed for decades, and some that have never been performed before at all. Since helping to spearhead the resurgence of new circus and variety in the late 1980’s, Mat has gone on to headline theatres across Europe, appear at countless international variety and comedy festivals, and on some of the finest cabaret and burlesque stages in the world. He has extensively entertained corporate clients, the British Royal Family, toured the UK filling theatres, and worked alongside the very best entertainers the
world has ever known.

Alongside his prolific live work as both performer and director, he has made many high profile television appearances, most notably as a regular cast member on three series of ITV1’s “Moment of
Truth”, the BBC’s “Now you See it”, and as a special guest onBBC1’s “The Slammer”.
