Kick In The Grass Productions presents…

Broadcaster and journalist Adrian Goldberg brings his popular monthly Talk Show podcast to The Glee Club – stay tuned to find out about forthcoming guests!

January – Carl Chinn

Much loved Brummie historian and broadcaster Professor Carl Chinn reveals the truth about the REAL Peaky Blinders in conversation with Adrian Goldberg.

Carl has just published the definitive study of the backstreet gangsters whose adventures have gripped the nation through five series of the hit BBC TV show. A former Professor of Social History at Birmingham University, Carl has impeccable credentials when it comes to separating fact from fiction. His own great-grandad was a Peaky Blinder and his father ran an illegal street bookmaking operation.

There will be a chance for members of the audience to ask Carl questions and he will be signing copies of his book:  “Peaky Blinders The Real Story”.

This show will be recorded and broadcast on Adrian Goldberg’s Talk Show. Check it out here.

February – Bev Bevan

Birmingham born drummer Bev Bevan is an authentic music legend. He was an original member of two iconic bands, The Move and the Electric Light Orchestra, before signing up for Black Sabbath’s Born Again album. Other credits include playing on Paul Weller’s 2010 release Wake Up The Nation.

Bev was inducted into the Rock n’ Roll Hall Of Fame in 2017. He still tours with his current band Quill.

After a life spent on the road and in the studio he has a fund of stories featuring the likes of Jeff Lynne, Ozzy Osborne and Roy Wood, as well his old schoolmate Jasper Carrot and Robert Plant.

This show will be recorded and broadcast on Adrian Goldberg’s Talk Show. Check it out here.
