Mikey Biggs & Junior Banton grew up in Birmingham England, born to Jamaican parents. Their love for music began in 1978, when they started acquiring records at the age of 9 & 7 years.
1981 was the year both brothers started playing professionally on a sound system (Heavyweight Hifi), mainly at house parties in the local area of Birmingham. Inspired by Mikey Dread (listening to his radio shows on cassette), Mikey joined a local pirate radio station “Metro Radio” 1988. Under the name of Bigga Don, soon to be joined by Junior Banton a few months later.
In 1992-1996 Mikey alongside his business partner DJ Paris Walker opened Soundwave Records. Their main aim was to import Jamaican 7” singles & supply to the masses of Birmingham. In 1993 Junior was headhunted alongside his brother, cousin Donovan Daycus & childhood friend Gary Brown for the soundsystem “Aces International/Aces Celebrity” in 1993-1999
Presently the pair,aka Bloodline Muzik, are currently forming their company (Blood Brothers Entertainment) which includes a radio station, sound system also started music production with their first single featuring Taleba Wax, which was released on the 10th December 2021.
