Dalia Malek

Dalia Malek is an Egyptian-American comedian who started comedy in London, UK and performs at major clubs, theaters, and festivals all over the world. She is the creator, producer, and resident host of Interruption Show, a comedy festival favorite and live podcast which has traveled internationally, received a glowing review from the UK’s Funny Women, and had regular appearances in the San Francisco Bay Area, San Diego, LA, and London. The Twitch version of Interruption Show was recommended by Little Black Book and featured by Chortle in its guide to Today’s Best Comedy On Demand.

She is a recurring guest on popular podcasts and radio shows including I Heart Radio’s “The Daily Zeitgeist” and “Ethnically Ambiguous,” Headgum’s “What Did I Miss?” podcast, Audible’s Broccoli and Ice Cream with Myq Kaplan, KGO Radio’s “Headliners on the Headlines, and BBC Radio Wales with Kiri Pritchard-McLean.

Before the death of Twitter, her media-acclaimed feed was regularly featured in articles, lists, and roundups on BuzzFeed, Huffington Post, Paste Magazine, WhoHaha, Vox, Someecards, eBaum’s World, and Funny or Die. Her Edinburgh Fringe solo hour “Another Castle” appeared at the Pleasance as a part of the Best of the Edinburgh Fringe, sold out at Machynlleth Comedy Festival in Wales, and has been called called “a dryly witty hour from the endearing comedian” by FestMag, “a word-of-mouth hit in Edinburgh” by Ireland’s Hotpress, was named one of Chortle’s “50 Edinburgh shows picked by a true comedy lover,” was recommended in The Times by Josie Long, and was one of FestMag’s Comedy Top Picks.
