Gavin Webster has been on the rise. He’s been on the rise for eighteen years.

Gavin is a warm and friendly Geordie, a confident, experienced stand-up comic with an interesting stage persona – a mixture of paranoid schizophrenic, confrontational and effortlessly funny.

Gavin’s set switches from friendly pub philosopher to ranting rabble-rouser with sharp one-liners, smug observations and sardonic ukelele songs. His set is loud and attention grabbing and he makes a good host with plenty of compering experience.

Famed and respected by his peers for his uncompromising and unusual approach and distinctly original routines, he now boasts a large cult following round the country and particularly on his native Tyneside where he sells out theatres with his one man ninety minute shows.

'Like a cross between Bill Hicks and Geoff off Byker Grove'

Ross Noble

'Funny, clever and as brilliantly observed as you'll find'

The Scotsman

'The best thing to come out of Newcastle since deep fried Mars bars'

The Source

'A man with considerable stage presence... he cultivates a bullish persona that never fails to intimidate hecklers'
