With more than a decade’s experience as a comedy writer, Heidi Regan enjoyed a meteoric rise through the stand-up comedy ranks.

She has won two of the most coveted prizes in comedy; the So You Think You’re Funny? Title at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2016, following in the footsteps of comedians including Peter Kay, Aisling Bea, Alan Carr and Lee Mack, before scooping the BBC New Comedy Award prize in 2017.

She has since gigged around the world, including performances at the prestigious Just For Laughs in Montreal and tour support for Joe Lycett, Phil Wang and Milton Jones.

Heidi smashed her 2018 debut with Heidi vs Sharks selling out both runs at the Edinburgh Fringe and Soho Theatre, with extra dates added to both. She followed up in 2019 with her eagerly awaited second show Heidi Kills Time, which was another smash hit among critics and audiences alike.

As a writer Heidi, has won a plethora of awards including the Australian Writers’ Guild Award’s for the Best Unproduced Feature Film Script, and Best Sketch or Light Entertainment Show for her work on ABC’s Orange Is The New Brown. Additional credits include; Kinne Tonight in Australia, Newsjack, Have I Got News For You, The Now Show (on which she has also guested), The News Quiz, There’s Something About Movies, The Island and regularly contributes to writing rooms for Charlie Brooker’s production company, Broke & Bones.

In 2019, Heidi released her stand-up special, Overthinker on BBC Radio 4.
