Former real Mormon housewife turned stand-up comedian, Leah Renee is an anomaly. A joke-heavy storyteller with a unique perspective on culture, religion and parenthood, Leah offers gently irreverent insights in her playful, confessional comedy.

She cut her comedic teeth in the clubs and bars shows of NYC and Philly to UK stages and theatres across the USA. Leah is a multi-hyphenate creative: comedian, writer, podcaster, and filmmaker, she’s been described as “a walking exclamation point” and “if caffeine were a person”.

Four time Edinburgh Fringe performer her past shows include:

Best Cult Ever (2025): A punchline-dense hour about Leah’s life as a gold star Mormon and her eventual exit; a delightfully detailed exposé from a bona fide Latter-day Saint.

Ten Pound Baby (2024) Leah’s true story about giving birth to a giant baby in her kitchen.

Bucket (2023) Stand-up storytelling comedy mixed with live exposure therapy, Leah tried something new she’d never done at the end of each show: her first pint, shot of whiskey, scratch card, cigarette, tattoo etc.

Star Spangled Stand-Up (2022) Stand up show featuring American stand-ups at the Fringe.

Leah Renee is based in Philadelphia and New York City. She’s performed at Philadelphia Theatre Week, Brighton Fringe, Philly Fringe and will be at Glasgow Comedy Festival, Edinburgh Fringe in 2026.
