Bennet has been performing on the UK stand-up circuit as a musical comedian for several years. He has been a finalist in numerous national stand-up competitions and has performed regularly at some of the biggest comedy clubs in the UK including the London Comedy Store, Backyard Comedy Club, The Frog and Bucket, Top Secret Comedy Club, Big Belly Comedy Club and Up the Creek.

He has taken several stand-up and musical shows up to the Edinburgh Fringe, and in 2019 a comedy panel show he was a regular panellist on called Character Building Experience was shortlisted for the BroadwayWorld.com Best Comedy Show. In the same year he was shortlisted for the BAFTA Rocliffe TV Comedy Writing Initiative.

He also works as a musician for several improv groups, including the Oxford Imps and ‘Any Suggestions Doctor’, and a one-off improv show he worked on recently at the Leicester Comedy Festival was nominated for Best Improv Show.
