Dave Munro was born in Perth Scotland. The home to the mighty St Johnstone FC, the only football team in Briton to have the letter J in their name.

He moved to Cardiff in his early 20s by throwing a dart at a map of the UK.

He is now 40 and has fallen in love with the art of the one-liner. Clever word play that will either have you roaring with laughter or groaning by how silly they are!

Short jokes that, when you go back to work tomorrow, you’ll be telling by the water cooler.

To close: Munro’s favourite fact is that the sell-by date on packets of crisps is always a Saturday.

Hijinx Unity Festival: Off Script 2026

Brace yourself for a night of comedy that refuses to play it safe.

Curated and hosted by Hijinx Associate Artist Richard Newnham, this line-up brings together a bold new wave of Welsh Autistic comedians reshaping what stand-up can be. No filters, no clichés, just sharp, surprising and brilliantly offbeat comedy.

Featuring Anthony Bozzola, Chrissy Derbyshire, Dave Munro, and Kate Llewellyn, each act brings their own distinct voice, style and perspective to the stage. The result? A night that swerves the expected and lands somewhere far more interesting.

For the first time, this Unity Festival event takes over the iconic Glee Club Cardiff, bringing this boundary-pushing line-up to one of the UK’s most loved comedy stages.

This isn’t about fitting in. It’s about standing out.
