The Tiny Kings of Winter – Tour 2022

Glenn Wool aims his mind’s eye back over the last 4 years of tumultuous change, dredging laughs from memories as he contemplates the sheer speed in which it all shifted into something so different. He burned his party lifestyle to the ground and from the ashes emerged a phoenix of personal responsibility that includes a wife, two kids and a nice little house in the countryside.

It’s an hour of unsettling stories about settling down. Growing up, growing out, and dropping off (kids at school), getting older dumber and wiser in equal measures.

About Glenn Wool….

Glenn began his comedy career in his hometown of Vancouver in 1995. He moved to London in 1998 and quickly became one of the rising stars of the London and international comedy circuit before becoming a globally recognised name having performed in Australia, New Zealand, The USA, South Africa, Switzerland, France, Croatia, The Netherlands and Arabia. Glenn was nominated for Best International Stand Up at The New Zealand Comedy Awards and twice Best Headliner at the Chortle Awards.

2018 and 2019 saw Glenn touring with Reginald D Hunter and Frankie Boyle. You also might have heard him on Freestyle with Frankie Boyle, or seen him on Doug Stanhope’s The Comedians’ Comedian’s Comedians (SeeSo), which was recorded at SXSW.

His TV credits include John Oliver’s New York Stand-Up Show as well as appearances on The Green Room with Paul Provenza, 8 Out of 10 Cats, Never Mind the Buzzcocks, Russell Howard’s Good News and numerous other UK stand-up shows. In 2016 Glenn was featured on The John Bishop Show on BBC1 and hosted a new NBC series Before the Morning After. He also lent his voice (along with Katherine Ryan) to the BAFTA award-winning Lottie Bearshout: Good as Goaled for Disney XD.

In recent years Glenn has dominated the international comedy circuit, performing to huge crowds in Holland, Singapore, Dubai, Cape Town, Melbourne, Montreal, LA, New York, Auckland and Sydney. He is a hugely popular addition to many of the great summer music festivals in the UK, including Reading & Leeds, Download, Sonisphere and Glastonbury.

“Seeing Glenn Wool perform should be made compulsory for the melancholy. There’s no way you won’t feel a bit better about the world afterwards. Lethally funny” ★★★★

Metro

"A masterpiece of comedy which has the audience helpless with laughter. I genuinely think this is one of the best hours of comedy I have ever seen. Why aren't you in a queue somewhere buying a ticket?” ★★★★★

The Scotsman

“Effortlessly funny with affability other comedians can only dream of”

The Guardian

“Imaginatively funny and original, Wool sets the standards at the Fringe”

The Telegraph
